World Pro Coach is recruiting an experienced High Performance Tennis Coach for a professional tennis academy in Shanghai, China.
The successful candidate will work with leading Chinese juniors, international ITF Junior players and professionally ranked athletes. The role involves delivering high-performance coaching, creating individual development programmes, preparing players for international competition and traveling with them to tournaments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-performance individual and group tennis sessions.
- Coach leading Chinese juniors, international ITF Junior players and professionally ranked athletes.
- Create structured short-term and long-term player-development programmes.
- Improve players’ technical, tactical, physical and mental performance.
- Prepare players for ITF Junior, ATP, WTA and other professional tournaments.
- Travel with academy players to tournaments and training camps.
- Provide match analysis, performance evaluations and professional feedback.
- Monitor player development and adjust training programmes accordingly.
- Coordinate with academy management and other performance specialists.
- Maintain professional coaching standards on and off the court.
- Complete a monthly workload of 160 working hours.
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 900 or better.
- Extensive coaching experience with ITF Junior and ATP/WTA-ranked players.
- Proven ability to develop high-performance junior and professional athletes.
- Traveling or touring coaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with leading Chinese juniors and international players.
- Strong technical and tactical understanding of modern competitive tennis.
- Ability and willingness to travel with players.
- Available to work 160 hours per month.
- Ready to relocate to Shanghai immediately.
- Professional, responsible, organised and highly motivated.
- Candidates aged 34 or above are preferred.
- Preference may be given to nationalities eligible for visa-free entry to China, subject to applicable immigration and employment requirements.
